JOB RELATIONSHIPS
- Reports to: Director of Implementation
- Interrelationships: Develop relationships with customers, interact regularly with Project Managers and Engineering, Client Support and Educational Services teams.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participates in and/or leads the implementation team assigned to customer New Name, Upgrade, add-on service, quote and consulting customer projects
- Participating in the above project types includes: a) discussing and interpreting customer utility business practices and designing software solutions to accommodate customer requirements, b) documenting customer requirements and completing software specification documents, c) configuring software to match customer requirements, d) testing software based on standard or customer requirements, e) training customer on standard or customer specific software workflows, f) assisting internal conversion resources with data mapping, g) assisting customer end users with running their daily workflows during customer testing, training and simulation activities and h) general customer support for customer end users from software go-live and beyond
- Develops a close working relationship with Project Managers and each customer’s primary contact person at each customer site to ensure project timelines and deliverables are on track
- Develops good working relationship with staff in Engineering in order to trouble-shoot technical and functional issues that may arise during an implementation, contributes to conversion and data mapping activities
- Develops good working relationship with staff in Educational Services in order to assist in developing training materials, conduct or assist with customer training, provide knowledge transfer to training staff and give feedback on all training services
- Develops good working relationship with staff in Client Services to assist with customer support issues and provide knowledge transfer from implementation projects
- Provides feedback to the Project Managers, Management and other Professional Services Group Implementers to help improve the products or aid in the overall implementation process
- Monitors and follow-up on open customer support issues
- Maximizes and maintains current knowledge and awareness of Harris software applications and related technologies
- Participates in and/or leads software enhancement design sessions
- Configures, tests and implements enhancements as necessary
- Up to 75% on site travel required
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business, Accounting, Computer Science, or related discipline OR equivalent work experience
- Strong customer service and oral/written communication skills
- Positive, proactive and take-charge attitude
- Willing to gain knowledge and build skills with on the job training and apprenticeship internal training methods
- Software industry experience preferred
- Utility industry experience preferred
- Ability to configure and test software
- Ability to interpret requirements, recommend solutions and lead/participate in business analysis sessions with customers
- Ability to train end users on software, comfortable training in both one-on-one and classroom settings
- Strong troubleshooting skills and analytical thinking to resolve issues
- Good project and time management skills
- Familiarity with standard UNIX, FTP and SQL commands/statements preferred
- Familiarity with at least one ad-hoc report writing tool
- Ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure
- Ability to work nights/weekends
LOCATION
Individual will work out of the Williston, VT office preferably. Working remote is also an option to be discussed on an individual basis.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads the S&S implementation team on a New Name project, is primary point of contact responsible for all implementation project tasks and deliverables
- Works directly with S&S and Customer Project Manager to ensure implementation project tasks are executed in a quality and timely fashion according to the project plan
- Meets with S&S implementation team regularly and assists and drives team to complete business process and modification/interface analysis & documentation, data mapping, configuration, testing, training, simulation, go-live and issue resolution tasks and deliverables
- Involved in all functional areas of the utility business and software (e.g., cash, C&C, billing, workflow, meters, new sites, accounting) throughout the course of the project to ensure business process and configuration decisions reflect quality balance of enQuesta best practices and customer requested workflows
- Is competent or expert in at least one of the following enQuesta functional areas: Billing, Cash, C&C or Accounting
- Ability to pick up new technologies as needed.
- Leads or participates in all customer business process and modification/interface analysis and demonstration sessions
- Reviews and signs off on all business process and modification/interface documentation
- Participates in all data mapping analysis sessions
- Responsible for delivery of implementation data mapping rules to Conversion Lead
- Reviews business critical configuration, signs off on final configuration check list upon completion
- Ensures internal testing is complete and signs off on final testing check list
- Serves as primary point of contact for customer testing and maintains product defect issues list
- Responsible for resolving, prioritizing and delegating simulation and go-live implementation issues and deploying implementation team members to assist the proper customer departments and staff
- Responsible for daily balancing and daily/weekly/monthly run sheet sequencing at simulation and go-live
- Assists Project Manager in maintaining project issues list, is responsible for completing all implementation issues on list before transition to support

PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Software Engineer will be part of the Product Development team for enQuesta™, our flagship product. The main focus of this position will be to develop new modules and integration based on our product roadmap
EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent preferred
- Experience with JSF, JSP, Servlets, MVC architecture, JDBC and Oracle PL/SQL for database connectivity/access
- Experience with Web Services, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML/XSL
- Understanding of OO concepts and the ability to apply these concepts
- Other helpful skills are: Tomcat/JBOSS, Eclipse IDE, Ant, CVS

4. Database Administrator [top]
PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Database Administrator plays a key role in the on-going success of our company. The main responsibilities of this position entail: administration of multiple Unix and Linux based database deployments located both locally and remotely. Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting, monitoring, performance tuning, and providing efficient resolution to any database issues as well as data modeling, metadata management, and report creation and support. This is a client-facing position.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The candidate must have a strong working knowledge of Windows, UNIX (AIX) and Red Hat Linux with a minimum 2-3 years of Oracle database administration experience
Ability to write, analyze and debug complex SQL statements
Communication with customers, consultants, and employees at all levels is essential to this position
This position requires the ability to work as a member of a team, individually on projects of varying size/complexity, and to provide hands on support to individual users and customers
Night and weekend work to be performed as required
